I spoke to my doctor today who says I need to stay in hospital one more night because my bottle blood drain is reaching over 30mls and this needs to be less before I can be discharged. To be honest, I am happy to stay in hospital because I feel safe and given the doctors have opened up my neck the decision to stay in hospital suits me fine!
What I did manage to do today was listen to a recording of a Yoga Nidra class which had been pre-recorded and given to me by one of my yoga teachers who also had a neck dissection. The recording focuses breathing which is what my body needed. I did get interrupted a few times by the nurse but generally the yoga session worked in the hospital and made me relax. Anything that can make your mind stronger I recommend focussing your efforts on instead of worrying about things out of your control.
Rob stayed with me for most of the day and helped me do my exercise. We also did our walk around the hospital and watched the great views at night time around London Bridge. Feeling positive about my recovery.
