Part of my medical care includes four complimentary alternative therapy sessions, which brings a smile to my face. This holistic approach to my well-being is well deserved. My session made me feel like a new person, with all my pain gone. It was a lovely treat to end my hospital visits until the new year.
Today, I spoke to my MacMillan Buddy, Filippo, who found a creative community dance session for women with cancer. I signed up for their one-day workshop in January and their online classes. www.movedancefeel.com Move Dance Feel aims to unite women affected by cancer through dance sessions, supporting general health and evoking curiosity. The charity is supported by the Mayor of London and the Arts Council. I’m looking forward to dancing and reconnecting with myself.
One of the songs www.movedancefeel.com dance to is Frank Sinatra's song New York which brings nothing but escapism for 45 minutes of the day to those impacted by Cancer. The power of touch and dance gave me joy and freedom. Wonderful being with such powerful women.
