“I open myself to the vibration of bliss, joy and health. Every cell in my body is infused with healing and Devine nutrients.” This mantra is taken from a Yoga Nidra recording given to me by one of my yoga teachers. Whilst in hospital this time round, I listened to the recording when I could not sleep and wanted to relax and let go whilst recovering in the hospital.
Everyday I was growing stronger in different ways. My appetite has come back slowly and I can now eat a soft diet. My sleep has not been perfect but the plus side is I have plenty of time to knapp!
Rob has been my hero throughout all of this. Unsure how I could have got through this without him by my side. It is not easy for the person looking in to watch someone they love be so unwell. I found this out when my sister died of cancer and understand how tough this role is. Like I said my family, friends and close work colleagues have been so supportive, showing kindness and love.
I kept on thinking of the lovely nurse at Charing Cross hospital who looked after me. What a wonderful person. So kind and giving, truly a hero. I decided I must get in contact once I am out of hospital and show my appreciation.
Today I also spoke to my Buddy for the first time. MacMillan‘s Cancer support have set up 12 weekly sessions for me to talk away to my Buddy about anything. My first session with Fillipo went well. He is going to find out about a Cancer Dance organisation I can join and also help investigate the best websites to create a blog.
Feeling much more active and signed up for a number of restorative yoga sessions to help keep me focussed. I need to speak to the doctor about when I can start doing some more strengthening yoga but for now restorative is just as good for my body and soul.
Today I felt stronger to take a walk by myself and also do a bit of local grocery shopping. Considering everything that has happened recently today was a good day like Ice Cube says singing 'It Was a Good Day.'
